EDGE, recognized as one of the leading advanced technology and defense groups globally, has unveiled its Group AI Accelerator. This new Centre of Excellence (COE) aims to speed up the development and integration of innovative artificial intelligence (AI) projects within EDGE Group’s facilities and its advanced portfolio of disruptive solutions. The Group AI Accelerator will also serve as an incubator for local talent, showcasing EDGE Group’s commitment to elevating the UAE as a premier hub in high-technology sectors.

Dr. Chaouki Kasmi, President of Technology & Innovation at EDGE Group, talked about the significance of the Group AI Accelerator, stating that it represents a crucial step toward enhancing operational speed and efficiency. He noted that the COE will facilitate the rapid adoption of AI technologies across their core engineering capabilities and business services. Dr. Kasmi highlighted that the consolidation of the UAE’s expertise in AI will lead to a positive disruption in their programs and accelerate innovation processes, aligning with the country’s shift towards a knowledge-based economy.
The Group AI Accelerator will be managed by a Steering Committee comprised of local and international experts in the field. This committee will supervise an engineering working group responsible for executing innovative projects and conducting research and development in machine learning and AI-enabled engineering. Additionally, a business excellence working group will focus on advancing digital transformation projects and providing extensive learning opportunities.
This initiative reflects EDGE’s ongoing commitment to harnessing the advanced capabilities and infrastructure of the UAE’s technology and innovation ecosystem. By maximizing partnership opportunities, EDGE aims to enhance operational efficiency while setting new benchmarks that exceed industry standards.
