UAE’s X-Technology Launches AI-Powered VR Platform for Cognitive and Emotional Health

UAE’s technology startup, X-Technology, has unveiled an immersive virtual reality (VR) platform aimed at enhancing emotional and cognitive health in clinical and rehabilitation contexts. Founded by entrepreneur and researcher Nargiz Noimann, the new platform combines elements of neuroscience, psychology, and artificial intelligence to create tailored VR programs for patients facing challenges such as cancer, Alzheimer’s disease, trauma, and chronic stress.

Noimann emphasized that the initiative is not merely a product launch but a comprehensive solution for a sector that urgently requires innovative approaches. She stated, “Emotional health and cognitive support are still under-resourced globally. Our aim is to provide structured, scalable, and science-based tools that complement traditional care models.” The platform is designed to fill critical gaps in cognitive and emotional care, offering targeted support through immersive experiences.

The proprietary platform features a range of programs developed in collaboration with psychologists and clinicians. It includes modules focused on memory and cognition for early-stage Alzheimer’s patients and support for stress reduction and anxiety for those undergoing cancer treatment. Additionally, it provides rehabilitation-focused environments aimed at aiding trauma recovery and enhancing emotional resilience. These solutions can be implemented in hospitals, wellness centers, and home care settings, thereby alleviating pressure on strained healthcare systems.

X-Technology is planning to expand its reach in three primary sectors: palliative care and oncological rehabilitation, which is expected to represent 25–30% of its offerings; geriatric care, targeting dementia support with a goal of capturing 0.5–1% of a regional market valued at over $200 million; and integrating digital therapy with insurers and corporate wellness programs, which is projected to grow annually by 20–25%. Noimann noted the increasing interest from insurers and healthcare providers in non-invasive, tech-enabled solutions, highlighting the platform’s adaptability to existing healthcare ecosystems.

Over the next four years, X-Technology aims to establish a presence in at least three countries: the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and either Germany or Switzerland. The company plans to forge 5–7 partnerships with insurance providers and medical networks and hopes to grow its user base to more than 2,000 active VR therapy participants each year. With its launch in Dubai, X-Technology is positioning itself to leverage the UAE’s innovation-driven infrastructure as a springboard for expansion throughout the MENA region.
