Al Qasimia University (AQU) has launched a new health awareness platform in collaboration with the Ministry of Health and Community Protection. This initiative aims to enhance health awareness among female students and promote a healthy lifestyle both on and off campus.

The platform focuses on educating students about the risks of heat exhaustion and sunstroke during the summer months, emphasizing the importance of hydration, a balanced diet, and an active lifestyle. This effort is part of AQU’s broader strategy to support educational and health initiatives within the university community.

The initiative was positively received by female students who benefited from free medical tests, including blood pressure, blood sugar, and cholesterol measurements, conducted by a specialized medical team from the Ministry of Health. The event fostered an interactive atmosphere characterized by care and positive engagement, and students received symbolic gifts to encourage the adoption of healthy habits.

Ahlam Bin Jarsh, the Assistant Chancellor for Female Student Affairs, highlighted that this initiative is part of a series of programs aimed at establishing AQU as a health-promoting university. She noted that the health platform reflects the university’s vision to educate female students about health prevention and the importance of developing sustainable health behaviors, aligning with the institution’s mission to cultivate a well-informed and responsible generation.
