The Ministry of Interior (MOI) has announced that its official smart application, MOI UAE (moiuae), will undergo a scheduled system upgrade, leading to a temporary suspension of services on Sunday, May 18, from 6 AM to 12 AM. The MOI UAE app provides various services related to traffic, police, civil defense, and other public-related functions. During the 18-hour interruption, users will still have the option to access and apply for essential services through the MOI’s official website.

In addition, the Ministry stated that some services on the Hemayati app will also be affected during the same timeframe. Users are encouraged to visit the dedicated service website for related services. The Hemayati app, developed by the UAE Ministry of Interior’s Child Protection Centre, is a free mobile application aimed at enhancing child safety and protection. It enables parents and caregivers to monitor their children’s whereabouts in real-time and report instances of child abuse. This app was launched in 2028, the same year the ministry introduced a new version of the MOI UAE, which offers users 50 different government services.

Furthermore, the MOI UAE app includes the ‘Bin Wariqa Service,’ a pioneering initiative allowing emergency doctors to bypass traffic rules during urgent hospital calls.
