The three sessions of the camp focus on children, youth, and young adults through diverse programs and activities. These include interactive storytelling, practical experiments, arts and crafts sessions, and educational games that blend learning and entertainment in an inspiring and engaging manner.

Mawra Al-Aqroubi, the Executive Director of the House of Wisdom, emphasized that the camp initiative has become a cornerstone of the House’s programs. She stated that “our Arab heritage is rich with stories and cultural symbols that continue to resonate across generations, and presenting them today through modern methods and technologies gives new generations the chance to connect with our literary history in a language they understand and live.”

Al-Aqroubi further added that, “given the isolation imposed by screens on our children, we are keen to provide a real environment that allows them to reconnect directly with their surroundings, giving them the opportunity to experience life in all its details. These camps create an interactive space that develops their skills, instills values of cooperation and initiative, and contributes to building a generation capable of balancing knowledge and enjoyment, authenticity and modernity.”

The first camp, titled “Kalila and Dimna,” will run from July 7 to 31 and is aimed at children aged six to twelve. It draws inspiration from the timeless tales translated into Arabic by Abdullah Ibn Al-Muqaffa. The camp will present these heritage stories in a contemporary style through exciting theatrical performances such as “The Lion and the Bull” and “The Trial of Dimna,” along with shadow performances inspired by “The Monkey and the Tortoise” and “The Merchant and the Parrot,” among other activities, including musical segments and puppet shows.

The second camp, also running during the same period, is titled “Al-Jazari Lab” and targets children and youth aged six to fifteen. This camp provides an interactive educational experience that combines technology with storytelling through workshops designed to foster systematic thinking and practical skills.

The third camp, aimed at youth, will take place in July and August and includes a comprehensive program that integrates arts, innovation, and life skills within an interactive educational environment. This aims to stimulate creativity and empower participants to explore their abilities and develop themselves using contemporary practical methods.
