UAE Minister Commends Majid Al Futtaim Group’s Efforts in Emiratisation

According to Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation, Dr. Abdul Rahman Al Awar, UAE Minister of Human Resources and Emiratisation, recently met with Emirati employees at Majid Al Futtaim Group to discuss the company’s achievements in Emiratisation. The meeting, which took place during a ceremony hosted by the group, was attended by senior officials, including Ahmed Galal Ismail, CEO of Majid Al Futtaim Holding, and Maryam Majid Al Futtaim, a shareholder representative.

The Minister praised the group’s commitment to supporting the government’s efforts to empower Emirati talent. He highlighted how the private sector has played a key role in employing and training UAE citizens, with more than 120,000 nationals now working across 23,000 companies in various sectors.

Dr. Al Awar emphasized the importance of initiatives like the “Nafis” program in helping create job stability and fostering an environment that encourages creativity for Emirati employees. He pointed out that companies embracing Emiratisation policies benefit from a range of incentives designed to support their efforts.

Ahmed Galal Ismail, CEO of Majid Al Futtaim Holding, reiterated the group’s dedication to the UAE’s vision for Emiratisation. He shared that the Emiratisation rate at the company has risen from 3% in 2021 to 13.7% today, thanks to strategic partnerships and plans to provide more opportunities for Emirati workers.

The Minister’s visit underscores the government’s ongoing commitment to strengthening Emiratisation in the private sector, ensuring UAE nationals are equipped to contribute effectively to the country’s workforce.
