Presight Opens AI Office in Kazakhstan During Abu Dhabi Crown Prince’s Visit

Abu Dhabi-based data analytics and artificial intelligence (AI) company Presight has officially opened its first regional office in Astana, Kazakhstan. This initiative aims to enhance local AI capabilities and support the nation’s digital transformation efforts. The launch coincided with the visit of His Highness Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, and was attended by His Excellency Dr. Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber, the UAE Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology and Chairman of Presight.

The new office at the Astana International Financial Centre marks Presight’s initial expansion outside the UAE and will serve as a regional hub for Central Asia. Currently, more than 40 Kazakh employees are working in the Astana office, demonstrating Presight’s commitment to developing local talent and contributing to Kazakhstan’s digital transformation.

Presight’s presence in Kazakhstan aims to bolster the country’s leadership in AI, particularly through projects such as the Alem.AI National Centre for Artificial Intelligence, which is the first large-scale AI hub in Central Asia. Within this context, Presight plans to establish an AI Command and Control Centre at Alem.AI, which will play a crucial role in managing Astana’s smart infrastructure. This advanced system will facilitate intelligent monitoring and decision-making across essential urban services, including mobility, energy, public safety, and infrastructure.

The inauguration ceremony featured several prominent attendees, including His Excellency Dr. Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber, Mansour Ibrahim Al Mansouri, chairman of the Department of Health – Abu Dhabi and vice chairman of Presight, and Thomas Pramotedham, CEO of Presight. Key figures from Kazakhstan were also present, such as Zhenis Kassymbek, the mayor of Astana, and Zhaslan Madiyev, the minister of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry.

Additionally, the Astana smart city project is set to enhance Kazakhstan’s status as a regional AI leader and establish a global benchmark for digital enablement. The initiative aims to improve public safety, infrastructure management, sustainable energy use, and city services. Notably, 60 percent of the project will be executed by Kazakh suppliers, showcasing a commitment to local engagement and economic development in Kazakhstan.
