A new urban development project is poised to transform Dubai’s skyline, centering around the historic Jebel Ali Racecourse. UAE investment firm A.R.M. Holding has partnered with the renowned architecture studio BIG—the Bjarke Ingels Group—to create a vast 5-square-kilometre masterplan.

The announcement was made during a signing ceremony attended by A.R.M. Holding CEO Mohammad Saeed Al Shehhi and BIG founder Bjarke Ingels. This ambitious project aligns with Dubai’s 2040 Urban Master Plan, emphasizing sustainable growth, community connection, and the expansion of green spaces.
The design envisions the racecourse area as a network of urban islands enveloped in greenery, featuring a central park that integrates with the surrounding neighborhood. Bjarke Ingels described the project as a “new chapter for Dubai,” highlighting its commitment to prioritizing environmental and social sustainability.
Construction is anticipated to commence in early 2026. A.R.M. Holding has stated that this development will blend Emirati heritage with global innovation, creating communities that promote empathy, identity, and a sense of belonging.
