Abu Dhabi Launches New Service for Sale and Purchase of Residential Grants

Abu Dhabi has introduced a new service aimed at facilitating the sale and purchase of residential grants. This initiative is a collaboration between the Abu Dhabi Community Development Department, the Family Development Foundation (FDF), and the Abu Dhabi Real Estate Centre. It forms part of the ‘Barakatuna’ (Our Blessing) programme, which seeks to strengthen family ties and enhance social cohesion.

Wafa Mohammed Al Ali, the Director of the Family Development Department at FDF, detailed the application process. Individuals interested in applying can do so through the ‘TAMM’ platform using their digital ID. Upon submitting the request, applicants will receive a confirmation notification and must then schedule a home visit conducted by the foundation. Following the visit, a notification will be sent to confirm the appointment for a social case study. Once the specialized team completes the home study, another notification will confirm the applicant’s eligibility.

Al Ali pointed out that while FDF is the authorized body to verify applicants as primary caregivers for their parents, this verification is not a required condition for the approval of residential grant sale and purchase requests. She also mentioned that the application review process typically takes about 30 working days. It is crucial for sellers to inform buyers to approve the preliminary acceptance notice issued by the ‘TAMM’ platform, as this approval is necessary for transferring the application to FDF to finalize the social study.
