Since relocating to Abu Dhabi in 2022, MEFCC has significantly increased in popularity and scale. What once served as a gathering for die-hard fans has transformed into the ultimate pop culture event in the Middle East. The convention expects to attract 38,000 visitors and showcase over 400 top international brands. The event features a star-studded lineup, including Andrew Garfield, Charlie Cox, Natalia Dyer, Hideo Ishikawa, and Emily Rudd, who have all engaged with fans during the event.

The Gaming Arena, supported by Abu Dhabi Gaming, offers a unique experience for gaming enthusiasts. Fans had the chance to test unreleased games, catering to console players, PC gamers, and mobile game fans alike. Beyond celebrity encounters, MEFCC is a broad celebration of pop culture, encompassing anime, movies, and television. Past guests include notable figures such as David Harbour from “Stranger Things” and Hayden Christensen from “Star Wars.”

The event is not just a fan extravaganza; it also serves as a strategic move for Abu Dhabi’s tourism sector. The goal is to host more than 50,000 fans at future MEFCC editions.
