UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan recently met with Hristijan Mickoski, the Prime Minister of North Macedonia, at Qasr Al Shati in Abu Dhabi. The discussions focused on enhancing cooperation across several key sectors, including the economy, trade, tourism, renewable energy, and investment, according to the UAE’s national news agency, Wam.

During the meeting, Sheikh Mohamed reaffirmed the UAE’s dedication to fostering partnerships with Balkan nations and supporting initiatives that promote peace and stability in the region. Mickoski, who is visiting the UAE for work, emphasized the numerous opportunities for collaboration that could help both countries achieve their sustainable development goals.
The leaders also signed two Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs): one concerning economic cooperation and the other between the Anwar Gargash Diplomatic Academy and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of North Macedonia. Following the signing ceremony, Mickoski visited Wahat Al Karama, where he received a guard of honor.
Sheikh Theyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, who is the Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Development and Fallen Heroes’ Affairs, provided insights about the significance of Wahat Al Karama to the visiting delegation. In a gesture of respect, Mickoski laid a wreath at the Martyrs’ Monument and wrote a special message in the guest book to honor the UAE’s fallen heroes.
