GCC Leaders, Egypt, and Jordan Hold Informal Meeting in Riyadh

In Riyadh, leaders from the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) member states, as well as Egypt and Jordan, got together for a casual meeting to talk things over. His Highness the Saudi Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman organized this meeting, which was attended by many important people, including Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed, President of the UAE, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad, Amir of Kuwait, Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, King Abdullah II of Jordan, and President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi of Egypt.

The goal of this meeting and others like it is to improve ties between the Gulf states and their partners in Egypt and Jordan. On social media, the president of the UAE showed his appreciation, thanking King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman for setting up this helpful conversation. As part of attempts to improve cooperation and coordination between our countries, he said, “Today I met in Saudi Arabia with a group of leaders from Gulf Cooperation Council states, Jordan, and Egypt.”

The leaders are still committed to working together better, with a focus on each other’s needs and the security of the region. This is clear from the talks. This casual meeting shows how important it is to talk to each other in order to build relationships in the area.
