Yango Group, a global technology company, has launched its new Transport Service in Abu Dhabi and Sharjah. Integrated into the Yango Superapp, this complimentary feature provides residents and visitors with public transport routes and schedules, facilitating efficient navigation across the Emirates. The introduction of this service aligns with Yango’s mission to enhance urban living through its growing ecosystem, which includes ride-hailing, delivery, and car rental options.

The Transport Service simplifies journey planning by offering access to schedules for 33 city and 82 intercity bus routes across over 10 localities in Abu Dhabi, as well as 12 city and 13 intercity routes in Sharjah. Users can select “Transport” in the app, enter their destination, and receive multiple travel options that include detailed routes, estimated travel times, timetables, and transfer points. This functionality makes it easier for users to plan their regular commutes, such as traveling from Sharjah Downtown to the Mall of the Emirates, and aids in finding the quickest routes to major attractions like the Louvre Abu Dhabi and Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque during airport stopovers.

Islam Abdul Karim, Regional Head of Yango Middle East, emphasized the company’s vision to simplify mobility across various modes of transport. He stated that the launch reflects Yango’s core belief that seamless daily mobility should not depend on the method of transportation but rather on how technology can enhance users’ choices throughout the Emirates.

With significant events scheduled, including the Jennifer Lopez concert and UFC Fight Night in July at the Etihad Arena on Yas Island, the new Transport Service serves as a smart alternative to navigating traffic and parking challenges. Additionally, Sharjah will host citywide Summer Promotions throughout July, allowing residents and visitors to utilize the Yango Superapp to find efficient public transport routes to these venues.

The Yango Transport Service is also operational in Dubai, featuring over 185 regular routes, 15 mall transfers, and 15 water transport lines. This expansion highlights Yango’s commitment to investing in smart mobility infrastructure throughout the UAE.
