As summer approaches, Ras Al Khaimah is becoming a highly sought-after destination for staycations in the UAE, thanks to its unique combination of beaches, mountains, and adventure activities. Hotels in the emirate are experiencing a surge in interest from travelers eager to enjoy the upcoming season.

Rove Al Marjan Island, one of the newest hotels in Ras Al Khaimah, has been popular since its opening. Paul Bridger, the COO of Rove Hotels, mentioned that “April has been a strong month, and even though we just opened, we’re nearly fully booked on weekends.” He noted that the majority of guests are from Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) countries and local UAE residents.
The hotel has achieved full occupancy on weekends during its first month of operation, and midweek occupancy has surpassed 50 percent. Bridger emphasized the appeal of Ras Al Khaimah, saying, “What Ras Al Khaimah offers is unique” with a diverse range of natural beauty, adventure, and cultural experiences available to travelers. This destination is conveniently located just an hour from Dubai and close to several international airports.
According to Khaleej Times, David and Alina, a couple from Russia staying at Rove Hotel Al Marjan for five nights, expressed their desire to return to Ras Al Khaimah, highlighting its tranquility and clean beaches. They stated, “We came back because we love Ras Al Khaimah. It’s a quiet place with clean beaches,” adding that they would like to explore the cultural sites on future visits.
Miguel Melo, the acting general manager of Rixos Bab Al Bahr Ras Al Khaimah, discussed the resort’s ongoing staycation offers aimed at enhancing guest experiences. He stated that “during weekends, we anticipate that occupancy won’t drop below 60 percent.” Melo mentioned that guests booking a minimum two-night stay can enjoy various perks, including a 20 percent discount on in-room dining and complimentary dining at one of the resort’s five restaurants.
He also detailed the “Suite Escape” promotion, which offers discounts on spa treatments and exclusive access to private beach cabanas for guests booking a three-night stay in suites.
Cameron McNeillie, the general manager of InterContinental Ras Al Khaimah Mina Al Arab Resort & Spa, highlighted the variety of accommodations available, catering to guests who seek elegance and scenic views. He pointed out that the resort typically sees occupancy rates between 80 and 90 percent on weekends, especially from late October to the end of May, featuring room categories that include classic sea view rooms and luxurious villas.
