flydubai, the low-cost airline based in Dubai, has announced the resumption of direct flights between Dubai and Pisa, Italy, set to begin on April 1, 2025. The airline will operate three weekly flights from Terminal 3 at Dubai International Airport (DXB) to Pisa International Airport (PSA), providing travelers with a convenient way to reach one of Italy’s most cherished holiday spots.

This new service allows direct access to the stunning and historically significant region of Tuscany. Pisa is renowned for its iconic Leaning Tower and serves as a gateway to Tuscany, attracting visitors interested in Italy’s rich art, culture, and cuisine. The return of this route underscores flydubai’s dedication to enhancing travel options for its passengers, particularly for those traveling from Dubai and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region.
Travelers from Pisa and its surrounding areas will also benefit from the resumed flights, which offer an excellent chance to explore the dynamic city of Dubai. As a strategic hub, Dubai provides extensive connectivity through flydubai’s network, which includes destinations like Mombasa in Kenya, Langkawi and Penang in Malaysia, the Maldives, Salalah in Oman, and Dar es Salaam and Zanzibar in Tanzania.

Jeyhun Efendi, the Divisional Senior Vice President for Commercial Operations and E-commerce at flydubai, stated that the airline has been focused on opening underserved markets and enhancing global accessibility since its inception in 2009. Efendi expressed enthusiasm for the upcoming summer travel season, anticipating an increase in passenger numbers.
Roberto Naldi, CEO of Toscana Aeroporti, emphasized that the resumption of direct flights to Dubai represents a major milestone in the development of Pisa Airport. He noted that this new route reflects confidence and growth in the region, which will bolster both tourism and trade between Tuscany and global markets.
flydubai passengers can expect a high standard of comfort on board, with Business Class offering lie-flat seats, international menus, and numerous entertainment options. Economy Class passengers will enjoy comfortable seating with adjustable leather headrests.
Currently, flydubai services five major destinations in Italy: Catania, Milan-Bergamo, Naples, Olbia (a seasonal route), and now Pisa.
