Wizz Air to Launch New Flights from Abu Dhabi to Beirut and Gabala

Wizz Air has announced the addition of two new low-cost destinations from Abu Dhabi, set to enhance travel options for residents and visitors. The airline will commence flights to Beirut on Wednesday, June 4, 2025, operating three times a week from Zayed International Airport. Flights to Beirut will be available on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, with fares starting as low as Dhs359.

Following the launch of flights to Beirut, Wizz Air will begin its service to Gabala, Azerbaijan, on Thursday, June 19, 2025. This route will also operate three times weekly, specifically on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, with fares starting at just Dhs169. Tickets for both destinations are now on sale, and the airline is currently running a three-day promotion that offers a 20 percent discount on ticket fares across all routes.

Johan Eidhagen, the managing director of Wizz Air Abu Dhabi, expressed excitement about the expansion, stating that the addition of Beirut and Gabala will provide ultra-low fares to attractive locations for travelers interested in exploring the Middle East and South Caucasus. He highlighted Lebanon’s rich blend of history, culture, and modernity as appealing for both business and leisure travelers, while also noting that Gabala is a hidden gem ideal for those seeking outdoor adventures and historical experiences.

Eidhagen further emphasized Wizz Air Abu Dhabi’s commitment to rapid expansion, aiming to make travel more accessible from the UAE capital. He encouraged travelers to take advantage of the new routes for their next adventures.
