It is expected that Dubai can attract approximately 210,731 delegates in the nearest years, significantly impacting the city’s events, travel, and tourism sectors. This influx will bring in talent and expertise from around the world, providing a platform for knowledge sharing, professional growth, and networking opportunities. The city’s success highlights the collaborative efforts between public and private sectors, reinforcing Dubai’s status as a safe, accessible, and welcoming global destination for meetings, incentives, conferences, and exhibitions (MICE).

Ahmed Al Khaja, CEO of Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment, emphasized the importance of business events in enhancing tourism and supporting Dubai’s economic goals. He stated that the increase in successful bids for 2024 demonstrates Dubai’s growing prominence as a destination that offers world-class business event infrastructure and unique experiences for both organizers and delegates. Al Khaja also noted that this success showcases Dubai as a knowledge hub, where businesses benefit from local expertise and innovation, contributing to the city’s ongoing development.

Among the significant events Dubai secured for the coming years are the 2025 WFNS World Congress of Neurosurgery with 4,000 delegates, the 2025 Asia Pacific Cities Summit & Mayor Summit with 1,200 delegates, and the 2025 Pan Arab Radiology Conference with 1,500 delegates. Additionally, Dubai will host the 2026 Global Symposium on Health System Research, which expects 3,000 delegates, along with other major events such as the 2026 Forever Living Global Rally with 12,000 delegates and the 2026 Herbalife China Incentive with 1,200 delegates.

To further enhance Dubai’s business events landscape, DBE has actively engaged with industry professionals at global trade shows like IMEX Frankfurt and IBTM World. They also conducted a year-round schedule of sales and study missions, as well as site inspections to promote future events. Key initiatives included the Al Safeer Congress Ambassador Programme, which involves local experts to secure more events and welcome additional delegates to the city.

Dubai’s impressive performance in 2024 follows significant milestones, including being ranked the top city in the Middle East for hosting association meetings, according to the International Congress and Convention Association (ICCA). This recognition solidifies Dubai’s position as the leading destination for meetings in the Middle East and Africa, showcasing its potential for economic growth and global business engagement.
