Sharjah, UAE – The Board of Directors of the Sharjah Research, Technology and Innovation Park (SRTIP) convened for its fourth session, chaired by Sheikha Bodour Al Qasimi. During this high-level meeting, the board unveiled its strategy for the next phase of growth, building on the phenomenal achievements of the previous year that positioned SRTIP as one of the fastest-growing technology parks in the region.

The meeting took place at the BEEAH Group headquarters and included stakeholders from industry, academia, and government who are dedicated to enhancing Sharjah’s status as a leading hub for innovation. Sheikha Bodour expressed gratitude to the board members and emphasized the necessity of forging strong partnerships across various sectors. She stated, “SRTIP stands as a national model for innovation, where the synergy between research, industry, and policy continues to unlock transformative opportunities. Our shared mission is to deliver impactful outcomes in sectors that matter most to the future of our society—healthcare, mobility, sustainability, and manufacturing.”
SRTIP CEO Hussain Al Mahmoudi provided insights into the organization’s key projects and strategic outlook for 2024 and 2025. He highlighted ongoing progress in major projects, business development, and the expansion of tenant offerings. Mr. Al Mahmoudi noted, “With guidance from our board and support from our partners, SRTIP is entering an exciting phase of development—one that prioritizes performance, strategic land use, and sectoral innovation. Our commitment to national goals and global competitiveness is stronger than ever.”
The management team conducted a detailed review of the Park’s master plan and leasing strategies, sharing updates on the progression of Phase 1 clusters and key land allocations for the SOTI initiative. They also discussed commercial partnerships, including the Base39 initiative. During dedicated sessions, sector-specific innovation efforts were highlighted, focusing on healthcare, advanced manufacturing, sustainability, and mobility, along with projections for business growth and key milestones.
Moreover, the board presented a roadmap aimed at enhancing ecosystem dynamics through deeper engagement with academic institutions such as the American University of Sharjah (AUS) and the University of Sharjah (UOS). This included policies designed to attract talent and incentivize innovation within the park.
Updates were also provided on brand visibility and digital transformation milestones, with SoiLab’s role in fostering innovation through prototyping and engagement with small and medium enterprises (SMEs) being a focal point. Internal transformation strategies, including human resources development, were discussed as essential components for achieving operational excellence.
The board reviewed SRTIP’s financial outlook through 2027, including budget projections for 2025, and endorsed audit insights confirming the Park’s financial and governance stability. The meeting concluded with an open discussion on future steps, followed by a tour of the “Naseej: Threads of Hope” exhibition. With a strong alignment between strategic planning and execution, SRTIP reaffirmed its position as a key driver of Sharjah’s innovation economy.
