The Ghana-UAE Innovation and Technology Hub is set to create thousands of high-value, technology-driven jobs aimed at benefiting Ghana’s young population. This initiative also focuses on building export capacity in advanced technologies and value-added services.

On May 29, the Ministry of Communication, Digital Technology, and Innovations (MoCDTI) in Ghana signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Dubai Ports, Customs and Free Zone Corporation (PCFC) and Presight AI to launch this hub. The partnership aims to position Ghana as a leader in digital transformation and technological advancement, thereby creating a platform for investment, innovation, and job creation.
During the signing ceremony, Hon. Samuel Nartey George, the Minister for Communication, Digital Technology, and Innovations, highlighted the importance of digital transformation in Ghana’s development agenda. He stated that this initiative reflects the vision of the President to diversify the economy and make innovation a key driver of inclusive and sustainable development.
The Ghana-UAE Innovation and Technology Hub is expected to significantly impact the country’s economic growth and strengthen diplomatic ties between Ghana and the United Arab Emirates. Stakeholders are optimistic about the benefits this partnership will bring to Ghana’s economy and technological progress.
H. E. Sultan Ahmed Bin Sulayem, Group Chairman and CEO of DP World and the Chairman of PCFC, conveyed the spirit of the project by stating that it is about empowering individuals to dream, create, and bring their ideas to life.
