Doha: Invest Qatar, the Investment Promotion Agency of Qatar, has formed a strategic partnership with Schneider Electric, a global leader in energy management and automation digital transformation. This collaboration aims to support Schneider Electric’s expansion in Qatar and hasten the development of smart infrastructure and artificial intelligence (AI) solutions within the country’s growing business ecosystem.

The agreement, signed during the Qatar Economic Forum, lays out a framework for collaboration to advance Schneider Electric’s operations in Qatar. It focuses on developing and expanding Qatar’s AI innovation and smart infrastructure landscape while also preparing a workforce ready for the future.

As part of its growth strategy, Schneider Electric intends to expand its local team, which will contribute to job creation and talent development in the country. The company plans to work alongside Invest Qatar on various learning and development initiatives that align with Qatar’s Third National Development Strategy (NDS3).

These initiatives will be supported by Schneider Electric’s Services Training Centre, located in its newly opened office in Msheireb, noted as Qatar’s most sustainable and digitally enabled district. The company will provide comprehensive upskilling programs for Qatari talent and customized training for customers focusing on automation and smart city technologies.

The partnership aims to combine global technological expertise with local market insights, further enhancing Qatar’s shift toward a technology-driven economy. Invest Qatar will offer tailored support services to Schneider Electric, facilitating access to key stakeholders and promoting initiatives that drive AI adoption and smart infrastructure development across strategic sectors.

Additionally, the collaboration will help highlight Schneider Electric’s strategic contributions to Qatar’s innovation and sustainability goals.

Sheikh Ali Alwaleed Al-Thani, CEO of Invest Qatar, remarked on the partnership, expressing satisfaction with the collaboration and its potential to support Schneider Electric’s successful business growth in Qatar. He emphasized that the company’s decision to deepen its presence reflects Qatar’s status as an ideal hub for tech innovation and sustainable development.
