BOLD Technologies, a subsidiary of BOLD Holding, and My Aion Inc. have announced their strategic partnership to develop the AION SENTIA Cognitive City. This next-generation AI platform is designed to manage and optimize complex urban systems effectively.

The initiative is structured under a $2.5 billion Build-Operate-Transfer (BOT) model. It will utilize MAIA, My Aion Inc.’s proprietary AI core engine, to integrate and support several key sectors, including mobility, energy, education, healthcare, and digital services. The development of this platform is currently underway, with plans for global deployment starting in the UAE.

To celebrate their collaboration, BOLD Technologies and My Aion Inc. hosted a launch event at the Emirates Palace Hotel in Abu Dhabi, which was attended by over 100 notable business and technology leaders. The guest list featured representatives from prominent institutions and global enterprises such as Sequoia Capital, ADNOC, G42, Leonardo, Amazon, TikTok, Fincantieri, Stellantis, and various diplomatic missions, among others.

The event also highlighted the strategic alignment of the initiative with national innovation and development agendas, evidenced by the presence of senior representatives from Abu Dhabi’s government and public institutions. During the event, the vision and framework of AION SENTIA were introduced, showcasing its anticipated applications and its use of advanced AI, sensor networks, and data analytics for intelligent urban operations.

Abu Dhabi has been chosen as the global headquarters for this initiative due to its progressive regulatory environment, robust cybersecurity standards, and established digital ecosystem. This decision aligns with the UAE’s digital transformation strategy and positions the platform for international adoption.

Thani Al Thani Al Falasi, CEO of BOLD Technologies, emphasized the initiative’s potential to support job creation for UAE nationals and foster local innovation. He expressed excitement about collaborating with My Aion Inc. to realize their ambitious vision.

Daniele Marinelli, CEO of My Aion Inc., noted that relocating their global operations to Abu Dhabi represents a new chapter for their team, highlighting the UAE’s infrastructure and institutional support as critical for scaling responsibly and strategically.

Furthermore, the partnership includes plans to work with UAE universities to launch training and upskilling programs, thereby supporting the development of the national workforce in AI and digital technologies.

Founded in March 2023, BOLD Technologies is leading digital transformation initiatives across the region and is one of eight subsidiaries under BOLD Holding, which operates in sectors such as AI, energy, construction, oil and gas, and trading. My Aion Inc., which developed the AION SENTIA platform, is part of a group established in 2020 and has a presence in the US, UK, Italy, Latvia, and Monaco. As part of this collaboration, all 63 employees and global operations will be consolidated in Abu Dhabi, reinforcing the UAE’s position as a global hub for smart technology.
