The Saudi Data & AI Authority (SDAIA) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with AMD to develop AI-powered data centers, significantly enhancing Saudi Arabia’s AI ecosystem. This agreement was formalized during the Saudi-US Investment Forum held in Riyadh.

His Excellency Dr. Abdullah bin Sharaf Alghamdi, President of SDAIA, and Dr. Lisa Su, Chair and CEO of AMD, were the signatories of this vital agreement. The MoU focuses on fostering mutual cooperation to promote silicon diversity and innovation within the country’s AI landscape.
The partnership aims to explore establishing AI-centric data centers that utilize AMD technologies. This initiative is expected to contribute to building an integrated digital infrastructure that boosts AI capabilities and applications. Such efforts are part of SDAIA’s broader strategy to accelerate the adoption of advanced technologies and leverage international collaborations for a comprehensive AI ecosystem in Saudi Arabia.
