The partnership combines PwC’s extensive expertise in industrial control systems (ICS) and operational technology cybersecurity with Cynalytica’s innovative technology. Cynalytica provides passive, real-time visibility into analog, serial, and Ethernet-based communications, addressing a significant gap that traditional solutions have long overlooked.

“OT threats are evolving fast, targeting overlooked vulnerabilities in legacy infrastructure. As IT and OT systems converge, organisations need to move quickly to stay resilient,” stated Clinton Firth, Cybersecurity and Digital Trust Partner at PwC Middle East. He emphasized that the partnership with Cynalytica will enhance visibility and redefine security measures for critical infrastructure.

Cynalytica, founded in the U.S., has gained the trust of major U.S. entities, including the Department of Energy and the U.S. Navy, Army, and Air Force. The company’s flagship platform is engineered to function safely within sensitive environments, offering comprehensive visibility across legacy ICS and hybrid OT networks while ensuring operational continuity.

Richard Robinson, CEO of Cynalytica, highlighted the company’s mission to safeguard neglected aspects of industrial infrastructure, stating, “We are proud to announce a strategic partnership that brings this mission to scale. Together, we are enabling critical infrastructure operators worldwide to gain passive, real-time visibility without compromising operations.”

The partnership’s strategic goals include scaling the deployment of Cynalytica’s platform across PwC’s global critical infrastructure clients, enhancing threat detection and forensic capabilities in complex ICS/OT environments, and ensuring compliance with international standards and national cybersecurity mandates.

The announcement at GISEC Global signifies the start of an extensive collaboration that will span multiple regions, including North America, Europe, and the Middle East.

PwC Middle East, which has operated in the region for over 40 years, boasts 30 offices across 12 countries with a workforce of 12,000 people. The firm assists clients in navigating complexities to achieve competitive advantages.
