Capgemini to Establish AI Center of Excellence in Egypt by May 2025

Capgemini, a global leader in technology services, is set to launch an AI Center of Excellence (CoE) in Egypt, aimed at enhancing AI-driven innovation for its worldwide clients. The implementation of this new center is expected to begin in May 2025, according to an emailed press release from the company.

The CoE will focus on investing in research and development and will collaborate with local academic institutions. It aims to leverage technology partnerships to improve client adoption of AI-based tools. Capgemini has expressed its commitment to fostering growth and innovation in Egypt, announcing plans to increase its workforce in the country to nearly 1,200 employees by the end of 2025.

The new center will feature a diverse team that includes architects, data scientists, product engineers, and project managers, all experts in delivering transformative projects. Aiman Ezzat, CEO of Capgemini, emphasized the strategic importance of this location, noting that it will enable the company to help clients scale AI within their businesses and stay at the forefront of innovation.

Hossam Seifeldin, CEO of Capgemini in Egypt, remarked that doubling the workforce and establishing the AI CoE would not only drive cutting-edge innovation but also create valuable opportunities for local talent to thrive on a global stage.
