As reported by Khaleej Times, MIT Solve’s Global Challenges are designed to utilize technology and entrepreneurship to create scalable solutions in vital areas such as climate resilience, healthcare, economic inclusion, and education. By supporting MIT Solve, Crescent Enterprises underscores its dedication to fostering innovation and driving meaningful, technology-enabled change in rapidly developing markets.

Tushar Singhvi, Deputy CEO and Head of Investments at Crescent Enterprises, emphasized the transformative potential of AI, stating, “AI has the potential to revolutionize industries, redefine economies, and shape a more inclusive future.” He added that the partnership with MIT Solve creates a platform for AI-powered innovation that aligns with global needs while addressing specific regional challenges, reflecting their commitment to entrepreneurship and sustainable development.

For the first time, MIT Solve will conduct an MIT Challenge Clinic in Arabic, in collaboration with Crescent Enterprises. This initiative aims to provide regional entrepreneurs with access to a global network and tailored guidance, allowing them to better leverage AI-driven innovations.

Hala Hanna, Executive Director of MIT Solve, stated that the organization is dedicated to empowering innovators and entrepreneurs tackling pressing global challenges through technology. She noted that the partnership with Crescent Enterprises enhances their ability to connect with AI-driven problem-solvers across the MENA region and worldwide, equipping them with essential tools, resources, and networks to amplify their impact.

As part of the 2025 Global Challenges, MIT Solve will allocate over $1.5 million in funding to support transformative, tech-enabled solutions that address critical global issues. The AI for Social Innovation Prize, funded by Crescent Enterprises, will assist up to four winning teams—two from the MENA region and two from global applicants—each receiving $25,000 in equity-free funding and access to MIT Solve’s nine-month Solver Support Program, which provides mentorship, strategic advice, and engagement with MIT’s global innovation ecosystem.

Applications are currently open for entrepreneurs, researchers, and organizations with solutions aligned with Solve’s Global Challenges, particularly in AI-driven social innovation. Submitted projects will undergo a stringent evaluation by MIT faculty and industry leaders, focusing on technological ingenuity, feasibility, scalability, and potential long-term impact.

Through this collaboration, Crescent Enterprises and MIT Solve aim to bridge the gap between advanced technology and real-world solutions, committing to advancing AI-driven innovation that fosters sustainable economic growth and empowers entrepreneurs in high-growth markets.
