Starlink, the satellite internet service provided by Starlink Services, LLC, has officially launched its fixed public telecommunications services in Oman. In Muscat, residents can access Starlink’s internet services for RO30 per month. The installation fee ranges from RO80 to RO160, depending on the package selected. Starlink’s services will facilitate streaming, video calls, online gaming, and remote work, even in the most isolated locations. The company offers a compact and portable kit designed to deliver high-speed, low-latency internet on the go, featuring a built-in WiFi router and maximum download speeds exceeding 100 Mbps.

Starlink’s satellite internet constellation operates in over 100 countries and territories and is a wholly owned subsidiary of SpaceX, an American aerospace company. Notably, Canada was the first country outside the U.S. to approve Starlink’s service, with regulatory approval announced on November 6, 2020. The service expanded to the Philippines in May 2022 and has since secured contracts with various industries, including airlines. By July 2022, Starlink was available in 36 countries and 41 markets globally.
