WeRide Inc. has announced a partnership with Dubai’s Road and Transport Authority (RTA) and Uber to integrate its self-driving robotaxis into the public transportation system of Dubai. This collaboration represents a significant advancement in the field of autonomous mobility and supports Dubai’s ambition to convert 25% of all journeys in the city into autonomous trips by 2030.

This partnership follows WeRide’s notable achievement in July 2023, when it secured the UAE’s first national license for self-driving vehicles on public roads. This milestone reinforces WeRide’s status as a leading provider of autonomous mobility technology in the Middle East and contributes to Dubai’s goal of becoming a pioneering hub for smart transportation.
