Sharjah has introduced a new mobile application called Mawqef, aimed at streamlining the payment of public parking fees and the checking and settling of fines. The Sharjah Municipality announced the launch of this app on Tuesday, highlighting its user-friendly features.

Mawqef includes interactive maps that help users easily locate subscription zones and smart parking yards throughout the emirate. Additionally, users will receive notifications about their parking usage and reminders for renewing their subscriptions. The app is designed for both individuals and businesses, and can be accessed using UAE PASS, making it convenient to issue and renew parking subscriptions.
Recently, Sharjah also announced that smart paid parking services are now operational in the city. Currently, there are a total of 392 parking spaces available across two smart parking areas located in Al Khan and Al Nad. The emirate’s parking system has undergone several changes since the last quarter of 2024, enhancing overall parking management in the region.
