This initiative is in partnership with the Dubai AI Campus and Nvidia, showcasing a five-day program that includes inspiring keynote speeches, producer panel discussions, and live demonstrations by AWS. The opening day aims to foster networking among attendees, providing a unique platform for knowledge exchange in the rapidly evolving field of generative AI, aligning with the UAE’s digital transformation vision.

Startups are expected to play a crucial role in adopting and applying generative AI technologies, which could transform industries and influence the future landscape. In 2024, AWS committed $230 million to support the development of generative AI applications by startups globally, along with the launch of the second annual AWS Generative AI Accelerator. This investment illustrates AWS’s dedication to helping startup founders innovate and enhance customer experiences using generative AI.

According to a report from Digital Digest, the UAE’s startup ecosystem accounted for 44 percent of the MENA region’s $2 billion funding rounds across 542 investment deals in 2024. The AWS GenAI Loft Dubai is part of a global initiative featuring collaborative spaces and immersive experiences for startups and developers. The event will offer expert-led workshops, interactive demonstrations, and one-on-one consultations with AWS AI/ML specialists.

Participants will have the chance to engage with AWS products and services, including Amazon Bedrock and Amazon Q, and learn advanced techniques for building workflows and tuning models. Attendees can also connect with generative AI investors and industry leaders for insights and support. Yasser Hassan, Director for MENA and Turkey at AWS, emphasized the importance of the AWS GenAI Loft Dubai as a resource for developers of all skill levels to build and scale generative AI applications.
