The Dubai Centre for Artificial Intelligence (DCAI) has launched the “Dubai AI Seal” to enhance trust in reputable artificial intelligence (AI) companies, positioning the city as a global leader in AI. This initiative aligns with the “Dubai Universal Blueprint for AI” and was introduced under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defence, and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Dubai Future Foundation.

The “Dubai AI Seal” aims to establish a framework for robust partnerships between government entities and technology companies. This first-of-its-kind initiative will create a network of trusted companies that both government entities and businesses can rely upon for secure and responsible AI solutions. All certified companies will receive the “Dubai AI Seal,” which includes a unique serial number and classification to enhance their credibility.
Companies seeking to partner with UAE and Dubai government projects must obtain the AI Seal certification. Certified companies can showcase the seal on their digital platforms and promotional materials, highlighting their reliability. Technology companies licensed in Dubai that offer AI-related products or services are invited to apply at no cost. Applications will be assessed based on six criteria, including the nature of their services, the number of AI specialists employed, ongoing projects, and partnerships in both public and private sectors.
His Excellency Khalfan Belhoul, CEO of Dubai Future Foundation, which oversees the DCAI, noted that this initiative will foster powerful partnerships between the public and private sectors on local, regional, and global levels. He emphasized that it would create new economic opportunities by leveraging AI to better serve the economy, society, and Dubai’s future aspirations.
The “Dubai AI Seal” has several objectives, such as offering a reliable method for verifying AI service providers, creating business opportunities for AI companies in Dubai, and acknowledging the strategic role of AI firms in the city’s economy. This initiative underscores the economic importance of the AI sector, its potential to generate new job opportunities, and its role in strengthening alliances between government entities and technology companies.
Launched at AREA2071 in Emirates Towers, the DCAI supports government entities in integrating advanced technologies. The centre also focuses on developing relevant legislation for AI applications, attracting global AI solutions, empowering national talent, and enhancing the quality of life for Dubai’s residents through AI.
