Proofpoint, Inc., a top cybersecurity and compliance company, has grown its relationship with CyberGate Defense LLC, a well-known UAE-based cybersecurity group. A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the two companies to improve human-centered safety solutions for businesses in the UAE. During Proofpoint’s Protect Tour event in Dubai, this deal was made with the help of His Excellency Dr. Mohamed Al Kuwaiti, who is the head of the UAE Cyber Security Council.

For businesses in the UAE, 76% of Chief Information Security Officers (CISOs) say that human mistake is their biggest cyber risk. This is according to research from Proofpoint. Because most cyberattacks are aimed at people rather than technology, it is important to take a broad, people-centered approach to cybersecurity in order to deal with today’s threats.
As part of this bigger partnership, CyberGate will offer Proofpoint’s security solutions to help organizations in the UAE protect their private data, deal with threats, and teach their users. ZenGuide, Proofpoint’s best cybersecurity and awareness training tool, will also be added to CyberGate Academy’s lessons. This will help businesses in the UAE and beyond.
Proofpoint’s Vice President for Northern Europe, the Middle East, Turkey, and Africa, Emile Abou Saleh, said that the company wants to use new AI-powered solutions to protect public sector companies in the UAE. He made it clear that the partnership with CyberGate is meant to make people more aware of cybersecurity issues and give businesses the tools they need to deal with the changing nature of threats.
Cherif Morcos, Chief Business Officer at CyberGate, said he was sure that new ideas are needed to make the region’s protection stronger. He said that working with Proofpoint, which is a well-known cybersecurity leader, will help them get more resources and give groups in many fields the tools they need to protect themselves from cyber threats.
Proofpoint is still investing in its business in the Middle East, and this partnership shows how committed the company is to the area. Proofpoint recently said that its human-centered security solutions would be available from its data center in Dubai. This is to make sure that they are in line with local data residency laws and regulatory standards.
