Qme, a B2B SaaS startup based in Egypt, has successfully raised $3 million in a seed funding round led by AHOY, a multisector technology company. AHOY was joined in this investment by a group of angel investors from the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC). The funding aims to advance Qme’s AI-driven platform, which addresses inefficiencies in customer service across the Middle East and North Africa (MENA).

The platform tackles significant issues in the region, where outdated appointment booking and queuing systems result in individuals losing an average of six months of their lives waiting in line. Currently, phone bookings, which represent 92% of appointments in critical sectors, have a no-show rate of 31%, further complicating the situation. Qme’s solutions aim to streamline these processes and improve customer experiences.

Maged Negm, CEO and Co-Founder of Qme, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership with AHOY, stating it marks a major milestone in their mission to optimize customer interactions. He highlighted the importance of AHOY’s operational excellence and technology as Qme scales its services in dynamic markets. Additionally, Jamil Shinawi, CEO of AHOY, emphasized that Qme’s platform aligns with AHOY’s goal of reducing everyday inefficiencies and that their collaboration will help Qme penetrate complex markets in the GCC and Africa.
