Mike Sicilia, Executive Vice President of Oracle Systems, pointed out that successful digital transformation hinges on three key elements: cloud infrastructure, continuous connectivity, and cybersecurity.
In another session, Her Excellency Huda Al Hashimi, UAE Assistant Minister of Cabinet Affairs for Strategy, outlined five factors crucial for achieving excellence in government services. These include having a clear strategic vision, a focus on measurement and data, transparency and accountability, capacity building through training, and leveraging technology to enhance service delivery.
David Rogers, a global digital transformation expert, discussed the challenges facing digitalized governments in a session titled “Beyond Digital Transformation.” He identified resistance to change, the need for continuous development, and the necessity of rethinking digital transformation for long-term sustainability as major hurdles.
In the session “Harnessing the Power of Data: Challenges and Opportunities,” participants analyzed how governments can effectively utilize data through advanced technologies while addressing privacy and security concerns. The discussions featured insights from Kyriakos Kokkinos, former Minister of Innovation, Research, and Digital Policy from Cyprus, among others.
