An important initiative to promote environmentally friendly logistics in the United Arab Emirates has been unveiled by United Diesel, a branch of the Al Rostamani Group. To meet the growing need for environmentally friendly and effective logistics solutions, they are introducing fully electric trucks in collaboration with Yutong, a world leader in electric commercial vehicles. Yutong Group commands a remarkable market share of over 10% in the electric commercial vehicle sector and has its products available in more than 100 countries, including Europe, Africa, and the Middle East. The company has received eight national awards for its efforts to reduce carbon emissions and fuel consumption through innovative electric vehicle technologies.

With fast-charging lithium-ion batteries that can recharge from 20% to 100% in just one hour, Yutong’s electric trucks are especially made to satisfy the operational requirements of the United Arab Emirates. These vehicles are perfect for a variety of industries, including pharmaceuticals and food logistics, because of their rapid charging capability, which reduces downtime.

The trucks’ adaptability for the difficult conditions in the area has been thoroughly tested; a 6,000-kilometer trial with respectable businesses has proved their dependability and operational efficacy.

With the introduction of Yutong Trucks in 2021, Yutong broadened its product line and used its extensive experience in vehicle design and technology to advance environmentally friendly heavy and light commercial vehicle solutions throughout the world.

The CEO of Al Rostamani Group, Mazen Dalati, emphasized the two benefits of electric mobility, pointing out that the shift is not only required for the environment but also offers a commercial chance to increase value in the supply chain. He underlined that United Diesel’s efforts assist the UAE’s goal of a more resilient and efficient economy by demonstrating how sustainability can be combined with useful business results.

Despite making up a smaller fraction of the automotive sector, commercial vehicles are responsible for a disproportionate amount of emissions. United Diesel’s launch of Yutong’s electric trucks attempts to address this problem by providing fleet operators with scalable and environmentally responsible alternatives. These trucks promise to significantly reduce pollution and operating expenses because they were designed with the UAE’s climate in mind.

The collaboration with Yutong puts United Diesel in a position to spearhead the UAE’s transition to a more sustainable economy, said David Sawiras, general manager. According to him, using electric trucks is essential to lowering the carbon footprint of the logistics industry and improving operational effectiveness. This change is consistent with the UAE’s strategy for a future-ready economy and its sustainability aims.

Vincent Jia, Yutong Trucks’ Director for the Middle East and CIS, said the company is proud to be working with United Diesel to introduce its cutting-edge electric trucks to the UAE market. He pointed out that these cars are made to meet the unique logistical requirements of the area, offering efficiency and sustainability.

The electric vehicles also include cutting-edge connection features that improve operational transparency and fleet management. These developments help policymakers with sustainable urban planning in addition to logistics operators.

United Diesel’s introduction of electric trucks is a major step in the direction of the UAE’s Net Zero 2050 plan and other sustainability goals. Such initiatives signify a change towards more environmentally friendly and efficient industry processes as the UAE works to become a global leader in sustainability. United Diesel is supporting a resilient and competitive economy that is in line with the UAE’s sustainable future agenda by easing the adoption of electric logistics solutions.
