Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, Managing Director and CEO of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), met with Massimiliano Cifalitti, President of ABB’s Smart Power Division, at DEWA’s headquarters on February 5, 2025. This meeting is significant as it aims to enhance cooperation between DEWA and ABB, focusing on advancing smart energy solutions, digital transformation, and sustainability efforts in Dubai.

During the discussions, both parties explored potential synergies in various areas, including smart grid automation, predictive maintenance solutions, and advanced energy management systems. These initiatives are part of DEWA’s comprehensive digital transformation strategy, which utilizes technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, Blockchain, and the Internet of Things to create an intelligent and integrated energy ecosystem.
Al Tayer outlined DEWA’s commitment to developing an infrastructure for electricity and water services that meets the highest international standards. He emphasized the authority’s dedication to providing services marked by availability, reliability, and efficiency, all aimed at ensuring customer satisfaction among all stakeholders. Furthermore, he highlighted DEWA’s role in leading the clean energy transition, emphasizing the importance of global collaborations and the adoption of next-generation solutions to maintain Dubai’s leadership in sustainability and smart infrastructure development.
In response, Massimiliano Cifalitti reaffirmed ABB’s strong commitment to supporting DEWA’s innovative projects. He expressed ABB’s intention to contribute significantly to Dubai’s long-term sustainability objectives, underscoring the importance of such partnerships in achieving shared goals.
