According to WAM, the “Dubai AI Seal” initiative aims to certify trusted companies, creating a framework for strong partnerships between government entities and technology firms. This first-of-its-kind initiative will establish a network of reliable companies that businesses and government entities can depend on for secure and responsible AI solutions. Certified companies will receive the “Dubai AI Seal,” which includes a unique serial number and classification.
To participate in UAE and Dubai government projects, companies must be AI Seal certified. Once certified, these companies will be able to display the seal on their digital platforms and in promotional campaigns, highlighting their credibility and reliability. All technology companies licensed in Dubai that offer AI-related products or services are invited to apply for this certification free of charge. Applications will be assessed based on six key criteria, including the nature of their activities, the number of employees specializing in AI, current and future projects, and partnerships in both the public and private sectors.
Khalfan Belhoul, CEO of Dubai Future Foundation, which oversees DCAI, stated that this initiative is designed to create powerful partnerships between the public and private sectors on local, regional, and global levels. He emphasized that it could drive new economic opportunities by utilizing AI to better serve the economy, society, and the future that Dubai aspires to achieve.
The “Dubai AI Seal” initiative includes several significant objectives, such as providing a credible and accessible method for verifying AI service providers, creating business opportunities in Dubai for AI companies, and recognizing the strategic importance of AI firms in Dubai’s economy. The initiative highlights the economic significance of the AI sector, its potential to generate new job opportunities, and its role in enhancing collaborations between government entities and technology companies. Launched by H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum at AREA2071 in Emirates Towers, DCAI is committed to supporting government entities in adopting advanced technologies. The center also focuses on developing legislation for AI applications, attracting global AI solutions, empowering national talent, and improving the quality of life for Dubai’s residents with AI.
