Masdar, a prominent player in the clean energy sector, has set an ambitious goal of achieving 100 gigawatts (GW) of clean energy capacity worldwide by 2030. Fatima Al Suwaidi, who leads Development & Investment for the Asia-Pacific region at Masdar, mentioning this commitment during the Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week 2025.

Al Suwaidi stated that this target reflects Masdar’s dedication to accelerating the global shift towards clean energy and helping to achieve climate neutrality. She highlighted the company’s vital role in supporting the UAE’s clean energy aspirations and its contributions to the nation’s climate goals.
In recent years, Masdar has made significant strides in the renewable energy sector, having developed and implemented over 31 GW of clean energy projects across more than 40 countries. This accomplishment has allowed the company to double its production capacity in 2024, further solidifying its position as a leader in the industry.
