An array of advances and innovations in artificial intelligence (AI) were presented by tech experts and in-house companies at a Business Breakfast event organized by the Sharjah Research Technology and Innovation Park (SRTI Park). The event was hosted under the slogan “Born in Sharjah, Built for the World.” Representatives from companies such as Al Hathboor Bikal, Nvidia, HP, and Qamia shared their insights into the rapidly evolving fields of AI and quantum computing, highlighting the pioneering innovations emerging from SRTI Park.

During the event, Hussain Al Mahmoudi, the CEO of SRTI Park, discussed the UAE’s ambitions to become a leader in AI. He emphasized the need for increased investment in this area, stating, “This event is a platform to demonstrate how far Sharjah has come to create innovations for the world. Our aim is to connect these great companies with investors.” Al Mahmoudi noted that the park is continually refining its strategy to attract startups in key sectors including healthcare, sustainability, advanced manufacturing, mobility, and transport.
The panelists at the event underscored three crucial components of building an AI factory: people, technology, and economy. They highlighted the significance of partnerships among data scientists, product managers, and CXOs. The required technology stack for an AI factory includes data centers, intelligent compute stacks, orchestration platforms, and machine learning operations. Special attention was given to how startups can leverage these advanced technologies to expand their reach beyond local markets and engage global audiences. One of the standout products showcased was AHB’s Dialog XR, an LLM-Based Chatbot developed entirely within SRTI Park. This platform utilizes domain knowledge-based LLM technology to facilitate conversational interactions for both internal and external organizational purposes, ultimately enhancing performance.
Insights were shared on how AI factories could stimulate regional innovation and contribute to solutions that are scalable on a global level. Additionally, SRTI Park officials introduced attendees to the ecosystem’s infrastructure and offerings and guided them on a tour of the facilities, which included the SoiLab (Sharjah Open Innovation Lab).
