Bahrain’s Municipalities and Agriculture Ministry has officially signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Bahrain Real Estate Investment Company, known as Edamah. This company acts as the real estate arm of Bahrain Mumtalakat Holding Company.

The MoU was signed by Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture Minister Wael Al Mubarak and Shaikh Abdulla bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, who is the CEO of Mumtalakat and the chairman of Edamah. The agreement aims to conduct a comprehensive study to maximize the investment and commercial potential of the Manama Central Market site, which is strategically located in the heart of Manama.
This partnership aligns with the ministry’s objective of better managing its real estate assets, improving financial returns, and contributing to sustainable urban development and economic growth. Officials noted that Edamah’s expertise in development and investment is crucial for unlocking the site’s potential and creating opportunities that fit within Bahrain’s broader development plans.
