Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of The Executive Council, has approved the allocation of land for the development of more than 17 000 housing units across Dubai. This decision was made during a meeting of The Executive Council on Wednesday.

Under the Affordable Housing policy, Sheikh Hamdan designated 1.46 million square meters of land specifically for this housing initiative. This move is part of a broader strategy aimed at enhancing the wellbeing of the community in Dubai.
In addition to the housing development, Sheikh Hamdan also approved the “Enhancing Arabic Language and Islamic Studies Outcomes Policy.” This initiative is focused on promoting educational development and preserving key aspects of national identity, including the Arabic language and Islamic values. It includes plans to increase the proportion of Emirati teachers in core subjects within private schools.
Furthermore, the meeting also saw the approval of the Independent Legal Consultant Project. This project allows Emirati legal professionals to operate as independent consultants with flexible working hours, eliminating the requirement to establish formal law firms.
