H.H. Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Ruler’s Representative in Al Ain Region, welcomed a delegation from the Emirates Centre for Strategic Studies and Research (ECSSR) at Al Maqam Palace in Al Ain Region on January 31, 2025.

According to WAM, the meeting was focused on the Centre’s significant roles in enhancing the UAE’s research and academic stature through specialized studies and research initiatives. These efforts are in line with the latest scientific advancements and technological innovations, contributing to the nation’s ongoing developmental progress and reinforcing its intellectual leadership in various fields.

During the meeting, Dr. Sultan Mohammed Al Nuaimi, the Director-General of the ECSSR, provided an overview of the Encyclopedia of UAE Leaders (Al-Ittihad). This encyclopedia was launched by the Centre to preserve the intellectual legacy of the UAE’s leadership. It showcases the foundational principles and milestones of the UAE’s Union, which were established by the Founding Fathers. The encyclopedia features a vast collection of quotes and audiovisual content, all hosted on an interactive electronic platform that presents this legacy in innovative ways.

H.H. Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan underscored the importance of the Centre in advancing scientific and academic research within the UAE. He pointed out the Centre’s contributions to conducting comprehensive studies, nurturing Emirati research talent, and aiding in decision-making and policy formulation. These initiatives are aimed at fostering comprehensive and sustainable development across various sectors of the economy.

Furthermore, H.H. Sheikh Hazza reiterated the Centre’s critical role in documenting the intellectual and knowledge legacy of the UAE’s leadership. He emphasized the importance of ensuring this legacy is passed down to future generations. This legacy, he stated, serves as a strong foundation for building a more prosperous and sustainable future, driving the UAE’s overall development and progress across multiple sectors.
