Last week, Hotpack, in collaboration with New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy, revealed a $100 million investment to set up the 70 000 square foot facility in Edison. Hotpack’s CEO and managing director, Abdul Jebbar, expressed pride in establishing a manufacturing presence in New Jersey, noting that this expansion marks a significant milestone for the company. He stated that this investment is aimed at better serving clients in the US market and will contribute to the local economy through job creation and advanced manufacturing capabilities.

The initial phase of the New Jersey project is expected to create up to 200 new jobs within five years. Governor Murphy showed support for Hotpack’s decision during his economic mission to the Gulf Arab States, emphasizing that the company’s expansion is a strong endorsement of New Jersey’s strategic location, skilled workforce, and robust infrastructure. He remarked that this announcement further solidifies New Jersey as a top destination for global companies looking to grow and innovate in the United States.

Hotpack’s expansion aligns with its 2030 Vision to grow globally. Jebbar added that the New Jersey facility is part of a broader strategy of international investments, which includes a biodegradable packaging facility in Malaysia, the expansion of manufacturing in Saudi Arabia, and a dedicated paper products manufacturing facility in India that has been fully operational since 2023. This underscores Hotpack’s commitment to supporting both regional and global markets.
