ADNOC Launches App to Boost Local Manufacturing in the UAE

The Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) has introduced ‘Make it with ADNOC,’ a mobile app aimed at enhancing local manufacturing and supporting the UAE’s industrial growth under the national ‘Make it in the Emirates’ initiative. This app provides manufacturers, small and medium enterprises (SMEs), and entrepreneurs with real-time access to ADNOC’s procurement pipeline, creating what the company describes as a “clear pathway” to long-term manufacturing opportunities within its supply chain.

The launch occurred on Tuesday at ADNOC’s headquarters, with the event attended by senior officials from the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology (MoIAT), the Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development, ADIO, and key players from the private sector. The app is designed to reduce risks associated with investment decisions and simplify the onboarding process for suppliers by making ADNOC’s purchasing needs transparent and easily accessible.

Positioned as a critical component of ADNOC’s In-Country Value (ICV) programme, the app has already contributed Dhs242bn ($65.9bn) to the local economy and helped employ 17 000 Emiratis in the private sector since 2018. ADNOC plans to inject an additional Dhs200bn ($54.5bn) over the next five years. ADNOC executive director Yaser Saeed Almazrouei emphasized that the app will “empower businesses to engage directly with ADNOC and unlock mutual value.”

Officials have commended this initiative as a significant advancement for the UAE’s Operation 300bn and Falcon Economy vision, which are essential frameworks aimed at fostering industrial self-sufficiency, innovation, and global competitiveness. MoIAT Undersecretary Omar Al Suwaidi noted that the app strengthens the ministry’s strategic partnership with ADNOC and provides manufacturers with vital data for making better-informed investment decisions. He stated, “This platform will help identify locally manufacturable products and strengthen national supply chains.”

The app’s launch is strategically timed ahead of the Make it in the Emirates forum, which is scheduled for May 19–22 at ADNEC in Abu Dhabi. More than 500 companies are expected to participate, and thousands of new offtake agreements will be announced across twelve strategic sectors. ADNOC’s initiative is part of a larger effort by Abu Dhabi to enhance industrial GDP, develop local capabilities, and attract strategic investments.
