The Innovative Startups and SMEs Fund (ISSF), recognized as the largest investment fund of its kind in Jordan, has announced a significant investment of USD 3 million in the Antler MENAP Fund LP. This early-stage venture capital fund, which amounts to USD 60 million, is focused on making pre-seed to Series A investments throughout the MENA region, and it operates under a sector-agnostic mandate. The partnership highlights ISSF’s dedication to enhancing Jordan’s entrepreneurial ecosystem by supporting notable global venture capital funds with a strong emphasis on the region.

Antler, founded in Singapore, is identified as one of the world’s most active early-stage investors. It is recognized for its unique “Day Zero” investing approach, which involves partnering with founders from the inception of their business journeys. The firm manages over 15 pre-seed funds within a global network driven by experienced operators. With a presence in 27 cities across leading technology ecosystems, Antler has made more than 1 500 investments in early-stage startups.
ISSF’s CEO, Mohammed Al Muhtaseb, remarked that the collaboration with Antler signifies a mutual commitment to Jordan’s entrepreneurial landscape. He emphasized the immense potential of talent in Jordan and highlighted the nation’s status as a regional innovation hub. The partnership aims to provide Jordanian founders with the capital, structure, and global networks necessary to transform their ideas into successful companies. Al Muhtaseb stated, “This partnership will support the development of a strong pipeline of high-potential startups,” underlining Antler’s strategic role in accelerating the growth of promising Jordanian entrepreneurs.
Antler’s Founder and CEO, Magnus Grimeland, expressed that this partnership is a strong affirmation of the entrepreneurial capabilities present in Jordan. He acknowledged that Jordanian founders are characterized by their creativity, resilience, and global outlook.
