Dubai Municipality Completes AED 112 Million Dubai Creek Wharf in Deira

The Dubai Municipality has successfully completed a two-kilometre-long Dubai Creek wharf on the Deira side, with the project costing AED 112 million. This initiative is designed to enhance the quay’s infrastructure, improve operational efficiency, and boost the commercial and tourism appeal of the historical waterway.

Significant upgrades included raising the retaining wall height to 8.3 metres, as well as equipping the quay with 200 anchors and 500 ship berths. These enhancements are expected to improve safety for maritime navigation and increase the creek’s capacity to support various commercial and tourism-related activities.

The total area of the quay has been expanded to 320 000 square feet, reflecting a substantial investment in the region’s maritime facilities. Completing the development required more than 620 000 man-hours, underscoring the project’s scale and complexity.
