BBK Announces Construction of New Health Centre in Galali

Bahrain is set to see the construction of a new state-of-the-art health centre in Galali, with a project value of BD5.2 million. This initiative was announced by BBK, a leading retail and corporate bank in Bahrain, during an official signing ceremony at the bank’s headquarters in Manama.

Contracts have been signed with Mohammed Jalal Contracting for the construction work, while Adel Ahmadi Associates will oversee the project. The new health centre will cover a total area of 9 713 square metres and feature a modern two-storey design. The ground floor will include 14 consultation clinics, 14 nurse examination rooms, and an emergency department equipped with 12 beds. The first floor will house a maternal and childcare unit, eight dental clinics, and administrative offices.

Upon completion, the centre is expected to greatly improve healthcare access and outcomes for the local community. The signing ceremony was attended by BBK group chief executive Yaser Alsharifi, members of the executive management team, Primary Healthcare Centres board of trustees chairman Abdulwahab Abdulwahab, chief executive Dr. Ejlaal Al Alawi, and other senior officials from the health sector.

Mr. Alsharifi stated that this centre represents a significant initiative that highlights the bank’s commitment to social responsibility. He emphasized that “the project will play a pivotal role in strengthening Bahrain’s healthcare infrastructure and delivering high-quality, accessible medical services to the residents of Galali and neighbouring areas.”

He noted that this initiative aligns with Bahrain’s Vision 2030 goals and supports national efforts to enhance and modernize the healthcare sector. The new health centre is designed to be a model of excellence in community care, contributing significantly to Bahrain’s healthcare network.

“This reflects our strategic vision of delivering sustainable impact through meaningful partnerships and long-term investment in national priorities,” Mr. Alsharifi added. He affirmed BBK’s commitment to delivering the project to the highest international standards while collaborating with public and private sector partners to ensure its success in alignment with the kingdom’s broader development goals.

Adel Ahmadi Associates representative, Adel Ahmadi, expressed gratitude to BBK for entrusting his firm with the project’s design and supervision. He highlighted the pride in their ongoing partnership with the bank, noting that this project marks an important milestone as the second major collaboration following the successful completion of the bank’s health centre in Hidd.
