A key highlight of this year’s event was the celebration of the 50th anniversary of La Roche-Posay, a prominent science-backed skincare brand. The anniversary served as a reflective moment on the evolution of science-led skincare alongside medical practices. Additionally, the event was certified as a Green Event, showcasing ongoing efforts within the healthcare sector to reduce environmental impact.

Attendees were also eligible to earn 24 Continuing Medical Education (CME) points, emphasizing the educational value of the conference. The program featured keynote sessions from renowned dermatologists, including Dr. Simon Danby, Prof. Jerry Tan, and Dr. Mukta Sachdev, who addressed critical topics such as optimal emollient therapies and acne treatment adherence.

On May 11, the Medfluencer Academy was launched, bringing together over 200 healthcare professionals in a hybrid format that included expert panels and hands-on workshops. The academy aimed to empower doctors in building their online presence, focusing on storytelling and content creation through social media.

The Medfluencer Academy collaborated with digital leaders from platforms such as Meta, Snapchat, and TikTok, offering tailored sessions on video production and social media strategies. These sessions aimed to equip participating doctors with the necessary skills to effectively share medical knowledge online.

Dr. Khaled Nuaimi, President of the Medical Excellence in Dermatology & Aesthetic Medicine (MEIDAM), emphasized the importance of evolving knowledge sharing among medical professionals, stating that events like L’Oréal Derma strengthen the regional medical community. Dr. Aiman Al Naeem, President of the Emirates Dermatology Society (EDS), supported this sentiment, noting the event’s blend of clinical excellence and digital literacy as a step toward shaping the future of dermatological care.
