The Department of Health – Abu Dhabi (DoH) and the Abu Dhabi Investment Office (ADIO) have announced a partnership with Unilabs Pharma Solutions to establish an analytical laboratory. This initiative is part of the newly launched ‘Health, Endurance, Longevity, and Medicine’ cluster, aimed at enhancing various aspects of healthcare in the region.

Under a memorandum of understanding, the collaboration will primarily focus on advancing drug development, clinical trials, and screening processes. The deployment of the laboratory’s technology and operational capabilities will potentially occur through a greenfield project, which signifies the establishment of a new facility from the ground up.

Additionally, the partners will explore support mechanisms to maximize the initiative’s long-term economic benefits. These benefits include job creation in high-value sectors, localization of the supply chain, and increased investment in advanced healthcare infrastructure in Abu Dhabi.
