In a significant move to change the global healthcare event landscape, Informa Markets has launched WHX, a new unified brand platform that replaces the long-established Arab Health. This announcement was made during the 50th-anniversary edition of Arab Health and marks a major shift in how global healthcare collaboration and innovation will be approached in the next 50 years.

WHX aims to reflect the evolving needs of the healthcare sector by consolidating various international healthcare events under a single vision. The launch of WHX Tech, which is set to debut in Dubai in September 2025, highlights this strategy and expands into new thematic areas, focusing on technological convergence and global collaboration.

The transition to WHX represents more than just a rebranding; it is a strategic overhaul intended to better serve a healthcare ecosystem increasingly defined by technology and data-driven solutions. WHX seeks to act as a platform for action, uniting clinical leaders, health tech innovators, investors, and policymakers from around the globe. Solenne Singer, senior vice president for Informa Markets, emphasized that “WHX Tech is where innovation in digital health comes to life.”

WHX Tech is anticipated to be a pivotal aspect of the WHX rollout, serving as a dedicated platform for digital health and innovation. Scheduled for September 8-10, 2025, at the Dubai World Trade Centre, this event will feature over 300 exhibitors, a curated conference program, live demonstrations, and a startup competition called XCELERATE with a $50 000 prize fund.

Moreover, the event will spotlight emerging solutions in areas such as AI, data analytics, and cybersecurity. Jihad Tayara, CEO of EVOTEQ, mentioned that they will showcase their traqpharma traceability platform to demonstrate how they are improving national healthcare systems. Sam Amory, managing director at Dedalus AMEA, added that discussions will focus on how AI and digital innovation are shaping the future of healthcare.

Guided by an advisory board of respected healthcare leaders, WHX Tech will feature three major stages. These include WORLD X, which will present global perspectives on digital health; FUTURE X, highlighting innovations in diagnostics and biotechnology; and XCELERATE, which will connect startups with investment opportunities.

The launch of WHX and WHX Tech comes as healthcare faces significant challenges, including aging populations and rising costs. The need for innovative solutions is critical, and WHX aims to create a platform that unites the brightest minds in the industry. “With WHX Tech, we are creating a dedicated platform to bring together the brightest minds and the latest digital health innovations,” Singer stated.
