Microsoft showcased its latest AI innovations in healthcare solutions at the Abu Dhabi Global Health Week, emphasizing its commitment to enhancing health and wellness in the United Arab Emirates and beyond. The event, which began today at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibitions Company Centre, is expected to attract over 15 000 health and life sciences leaders from around the globe.

Digital transformation through AI is significantly changing how healthcare organizations engage with patients and collaborate among care teams. AI technologies, in partnership with healthcare professionals, are crucial in improving the experiences of both physicians and patients, alleviating workforce burnout, and increasing access to care.
Naim Yazbeck, General Manager of Microsoft UAE, stated that the company is “bridging data, AI and trust across the entire healthcare ecosystem.” He emphasized that this approach empowers everyone involved in the healthcare journey to work together to deliver better experiences for both clinicians and patients. Microsoft aims to assist medical professionals by leveraging the capabilities of its industry cloud.
At the event, Microsoft introduced the AI-powered wellness app, Hayat, which focuses on mental health and personalization. The app integrates with Apple Health and supports both Arabic and English through conversational AI and a speech agent. Hayat offers daily recommendations and insights based on user data, utilizing industry-standard metrics related to physical health, mental health, and nutrition.
Mo Fayez, Managing Director at Kagool, noted that “the health of nations has long been linked to the wealth of nations,” highlighting the partnership with Microsoft to digitally transform the UAE’s healthcare sector. Furthermore, Elena Bonfiglioli, Global Business Leader at Microsoft, will participate in several panels during the week, reinforcing Microsoft’s influential role in discussing key issues in health and life sciences.
